  1. I attended the Scissortail Writing Festival, Thursday. I listended to Ron Walsh and Juan Manual Perez. When I heard Juan Manuel Perez I never expected him to sing since he is a poet. He sang "Another Brown Christmas", it was a really comical song and fun to listen to. I usually don't enjoy poems but I'll admit I enjoyed listening to Juan Manuel Perez since he was funny. Ron Walsh was also interesting and enjoyable to listen to. My favorite poem of his, was called Stealing a Little Cash. I liked it because it had very good details and I thought it was cool that he had a line out of a Johnny Cash song in his poem. Dalton McWhirter Comp 1 10:00 Class

  2. I attended the scissortail Writing Festival, Friday. I listened to Elizabeth Raby, she read from her book "This Woman" which was very interesting and her poems had humor moments in them. My favorite of hers was the one about washing the dishes, she gave great deatail of what she was doing and how everything had to be careful and it was like someone was watching her every step of the way. She ended the poem with humor of drying each dish as if your life depended on it.

  4. I loved hearing Clarence Wolfshohl talk about his adventures in Brazil and the Amazon. Liked "High Flying Mangos" and the Baseball references made like "Willie Mayes snaps up a mango" and "Line drive mangos". Also liked hearing "Holy Spirit Fish Fry"- coleslaw levitation.
